PACCAR Parts

PACCAR Parts operates a network of parts distribution centers offering aftermarket support to Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF dealers and customers around the world. Aftermarket support includes customer call centers operating 24 hours a day throughout the year and technologically advanced systems to enhance inventory control and expedite order processing.



Requisition Summary

Manages day to day operations of the Warranty Department, assuring prompt and accurate processing of dealer warranty claims, per approved policies and procedures, and recovery of warranty expense from suppliers. 


Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Supervises and Develops the Warranty Department staff.
  • Assures accurate and timely processing of all replacement parts warranty claims per approved policies and procedures.
  • Recovers warranty expenses from suppliers.
  • Communicates warranty and recovery issues to Division Claims Manager as well as Customer Service, Marketing, Purchasing, Finance, suppliers and truck divisions as necessary. 
  • Identifies opportunities to reduce expense, increase recovery, and improve customer service and recommends changes to approved policies and procedures. 
  • Assists with negotiations of Supplier Warranty Agreements and communicates with Purchasing, Marketing, Accounting and Management regarding supplier compliance with agreements. 
  • Reports daily, monthly and yearly performance goals/metrics.
  • Champions continuous improvement projects to improve team goals/metrics.
  • Maintains a training program to assist dealers with training of Warranty personnel.
  • Manages the disposition of defective parts in dealer inventory by coordinating with suppliers and releasing bulletins to dealers in a timely manner.
  • Investigates and answers dealer inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assists with budgeting and other managerial functions.
  • Performs special projects as assigned, such as Warranty Audits, Internal Control Reviews, etc.



Qualifications & Skills

  • A college degree in Business Administration or similar (MBA Preferred)
  • 2 years of experience as a manager or supervisor preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Analytical skills, ability to multi-task and demonstrated critical thinking
  • Knowledge of the PACCAR dealer organization and warranty system.
  • Prefer 3 or more years with PACCAR, including experience claim processing or warranty recovery.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Advanced PC skills in Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Six Sigma Training preferred
  • Strong presentation and project management skills.
