Requisition Summary

The qualified individual will have responsibility for providing Human Resources services and support to Peterbilt Motors Company managers and employees including organizational and employee development, performance management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, succession planning, training and development and management coaching. 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

Recruitment and Talent Management:

  • Support recruiting and outreach for the Denton plant
  • Supervise, coach and provide challenging, developmental opportunities to plant HR team
  • Work with managers in the performance management and succession planning processes

Engagement, Rewards and Retention:

  • Manage the compensation program, job analysis process and the necessary employee programs to promote high employee satisfaction and retention
  • Develop, analyze, and provide coaching opportunities to production management maintaining a positive employee work environment

Human Resources Effectiveness:

  • Understand Peterbilt's business mission and support its implementation through strong business partnerships and HR tools / process
  • Demonstrated commitment to best-in-class benchmarking, balanced scorecard performance metrics, and continuous improvement
  • Focus on customer service, innovation and process improvement within HR team and employee workplace
  • Ensure HR processes are leading edge and efficient in producing results for Peterbilt Motors Company
  • Participate in PACCAR global HR projects
  • Champion diversity and inclusion in the workplace


  • 3 - 5 years Human Resources generalist experience, preferably in a large, manufacturing environment
  • 1 - 3 years successful supervisory experience and/or demonstrated leadership skills
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree and PHR / SPHR strongly preferred
  • Six Sigma belt certification preferred
  • Organized self-starter with initiative, creativity and ability to influence
  • Exceptional communication skills (interpersonal, written and presentation)
  • Strong customer service orientation; ability to successfully handle multiple tasks and frequently-changing business priorities
  • Detailed knowledge of HR laws
  • Demonstrated commitment to best-in class benchmarking, performance metrics and process improvement
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite and SAP a plus
  • Ability to travel (15%)
