Over the past five years, Kenworth has launched more new product than at any time in our history, including a new engine and all new truck platforms. This development pace is continuing and as an intern you will have the opportunity to see that work up close. This position will be part of a team supporting the Kenworth Division Engineering group.

This Internship will be located at Kenworth Division office in Kirkland, WA.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  •  Design and implement electrical projects in support of quality improvement and cost reduction goals.
  •  Draft part and harness drawings and help author field and factory support information to support assigned projects.
  •  Participate in evaluation and testing of new electrical and electronic designs as they are released.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Currently enrolled in a BS/BA or MS program with a mechanical or electrical engineering degree focus. Minimum qualifications include completion of sophomore year in a engineering program leading to a Bachelor's degree.
  • Demonstrated PC skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access).
  • Automotive experience/interest desired.
  • Excellent organizational/communication skills.
  • Knowledge of 3-D CAD software a plus.
