Job Description

Our Vehicle Integration group is looking for a motivated intern to join their group this summer! Interns will have hands on experience in helping define future functionality of various vehicle programs, in addition to mentorship from top industry professionals. Ideal candidates would be in their senior year of college or above and have proficiency in mathematical modeling systems with a strong desire to learn.

Job Functions:

  • Identify, develop and incorporate advanced automotive technologies into PACCAR products.
  • Prioritzation of projects to fulfill the desired launch dates.
  • Collect requirements by interacting with customers and cross-functional teams to define functional requirements.
  • Build, maintain and utilize functional Simulink models to design, document and communicate vehicle and powertrain requirements.
  • Champion development of vehicle functions with cross-functional teams.
  • Track design concepts and vehicle functionality through design and testing phases, and provide support for validation activities.
  • Work with global teams to deliver common, cost-efficent solutions PACCAR-wide (up to 10% travel may be required).


  • Currently enrolled in a BS/BA or MS program with a mechanical or electrical engineering degree focus.
  • Minimum qualifications include completion of sophomore year in engineering program leading to a Bachelor's degree.
  • Demonstrated PC skills (Outlook, Word and Excel; prior experience using Access database system preferred).
  • Automotive experience/interest desired.
  • Excellent organizational/communication skills.
  • Pro/E modeling and drawing experience preferred.
