Consumer Claims Specialist

Position Overview

ecoATM is an award winning and exciting company, who is rapidly building a nationwide network of automated kiosks for recycling cell phones and other electronic devices. We are currently looking for a full time, experienced, and talented enterprising individual to join our Consumer Claims Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient and professional administrative support to the Consumer Claims Team
  • Manage consumer claims requests
  • Complete, file, and follow up on consumer claims related cases
  • Assist in any and all additional tasks assigned by the Operations Department
  • Receives and evaluates a high volume of Claims issues pertaining to consumer/victim or law enforcement concerns
  • Solicits and enters detailed information into computer database ensuring accuracy and completeness; obtains and clarifies pertinent information; coordinates retrieval of required information relevant to the issue, i.e., police report, identification confirmation, money order; identifies potential cause of problem and determines best course of action for resolution; formulates process and resources required for investigation; and forwards information as appropriate to other departments/personnel
  • Provides input in the development and execution of procedures for consumer issue handling, including: assists and consults with team members on handling of consumer issues; reviews Claims cases for accuracy and follow through; communicates high priority issues, performs follow-up, and keeps management apprised of status
  • Performs other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required, assigned and directed

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • 1+ years' experience in a fast-paced, customer service environment
  • Proficient in Word and Outlook
  • Basic knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce preferred

  • Solid written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as a member of a team
  • Volunteers for assignments when made aware of opportunities; seeks out learning opportunities to expand basic knowledge
  • Completes tasks, achieves results and honors commitments, demonstrating a persistent and appropriate bias for action
  • Ability to work well under pressure on multiple projects in a fast-paced and challenging environment; ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Responds to routine or standard requests from the Operations Team
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, customer service, and telephone skills
  • Knowledge of personal computers and related software
