POSITION SUMMARY

Assist with multiple levels of purchasing within the corporation. Work and communicate with Oshkosh Corporation's suppliers on various projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Assist in the areas of Strategic Purchasing, Global Sourcing, and operational duties within the various Purchasing departments throughout the corporation.

2.Expedite and/or update purchase orders.

3.Send request for quotes. 1.Gather and compile necessary information in order to request quotes from suppliers.

2.Extract data from JDE/SAS and other divisions.

3.Download drawings from ShopTECH/JDE and other divisions.

4.Assist in analyzing quotes and the total impact on the business.

5.Communicate with suppliers to confirm shipments.

6.Consult with sales individuals, engineers, and warehouse personnel to ensure correct transfer of information.

7.Maintain supplier accounts (work into gaining own personal supplier accounts after becoming comfortable with J.D. Edwards systems).

8.Track and report purchasing decisions in order to observe effect on company as a whole.

9.Provide support to Commodity Managers, Buyers and Purchasing Agents in the procurement of goods and services from suppliers.

10.Be able to compile, analyze, and make recommendations upon data.

11.Support the portal (website) across divisions.

12.All other duties or projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Student in a Sophomore standing or greater working towards a Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, Supply Chain/Operations Management, Economics, Industrial Engineering or related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFIACTIONS

* Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment while working independently and efficiently.
* Ability to collaborate with others on projects.
* Ability to prioritize work load to meet deadlines.
* Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
