SUMMARY

The ideal candidate shall have the desire and background to go beyond the traditional finance role to support and collaborate with the business in various disciplines. Support Finance and Order Management to help accomplish critical tasks and implement process improvements. Support the business through completion of various reports and analytical projects. This position will assist Order Management with customer orders, ensuring internal objectives are met and a high level of customer satisfaction is achieved. This position will support Finance to ensure a timely and accurate financial close process. This position will also be responsible for developing effective communication and positive working relationships with Order Management, Finance, and all internal and external customers to ensure success of short-term and long-term goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Perform various tasks to support the Finance and Order Management Teams. Examples include the following: journal entries, reconciliations, pricing requests / quotes, order entry and documentation, and other assignments that support the business.
* Work with Order Management to review customer orders to ensure compliance with customer expectations and configuration requirements are met.
* Assist Order Management with the preparation and submission of bid packages.
* Assist with the preparation of month-end financial closing tasks and reporting requirements.
* Assist with the ongoing compliance of the revenue recognition standards.
* Provide support and analysis on various projects as assigned.
* Improve processes by eliminating non-value-added work and enabling the use of technology.
* Complete other duties as agreed upon with your leader.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* Student working toward a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Marketing or other related fields.
* Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Strong ability to communicate effectively.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Ability to learn new programs and processes quickly.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Basic Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint knowledge.
* Availability year round.
