Job Description

The Product Design and Develpment Intern for Fish & Hunt willwork on multiple projects in both hard good and soft goods. We are lookingfor a self-motivated candidate who is willing to jump in and assist on multipleprojects at once. The intern willcontribute to all stages of development, from initial research and sketching,through 3D modeling and prototyping and commercialization. Theposition will also expose the intern to the business side of design as well asboth hard goods and soft goods. They will also gain exposure to ProductDevelopment across all categories of the organization.

This intern will interact on a daily basis with theProduct Development Team for Fish & Hunt and will report to the ProductDesigner for Fish & Hunt.

The primary deliverables for this internship include:

* Finished techpack and rendering presentation for eachproject assigned
* Trend study and work analyzing the competitive landscapeand identifying gaps and opportunities
* One final 3D model that can be printed and prototypedfor an accessory in future assortment

The successful candidate should possess the followingqualifications:

* Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Product or IndustrialDesign
* Strong sketching and visualization skills (digitalsketching is a plus)
* Basic knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
* Experience using design related software such as Adobeillustrator or Solidworks
* Must be excited to present ideas to other professionals
* Willing to work through all stages of product development
* Experience and passion for soft goods design anddevelopment
* Sewing skills and fly fishing experience is a plus

This internship is a 12 week, full-time, paid positionlocated in our Corporate office in Sunderland Vermont. Interns should beprepared to find suitable housing and have transportation to get back and forthto work.
