Student Nurse Intern of Progressive Care Unit at ORMC (POOL) - Orlando Regional Medical Center

* Chest Pain Accreditation with PCI (percutaneous coronary intervention)

The Progressive Care Unit is a 16-private bed unit with adaptability to flex to 20-beds with 4 additional semi-private beds. This unit provides nursing care to complex patients and their families. Clinical services include the assessment and patient care of a wide variety of medical diagnoses whom require continuous telemetry monitoring while providing a supportive environment. The PCU staff collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team including physicians, social work, case management, physical & occupational therapists, respiratory therapists, dieticians, spiritual care and pharmacists to meet the needs of this population.

We are currently seeking a Student Nurse Intern to work in our Progressive Care Unit at Orlando Regional Medical Center with the following qualifications:


Concurrent enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) pre-licensure program.


Maintains current BLS/Healthcare provider certification.


* Nursing student currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) pre-licensure program at a college or university affiliated with the organization.

* Must have completed a minimum of two semesters of nursing clinical rotations.

* Proof of continued enrollment in accredited pre-licensure, professional nursing program with no break in enrollment to exceed one year.

NOTE: Pool (Per Diem). Various shifts. Schedules may include weekends and holidays.

The Student Nurse Intern performs general patient care such as, hygiene, mobility, and nutrition in a basic role with the guidance and mentoring of the Registered Nurse
