Human Resources Manager

Human Resources Manager to become part of the Orenco family.

Orencos Human Resources Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining programs,

procedures, and guidelines to help align the organizations human resources with the companys strategic

goals. In this role, the Human Resources Manager will act as an HR generalist by planning, implementing,

and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. The HR manager

is also responsible for the development and performance of our Human Resources department and is an

advisor to Orencos management team. Program areas of responsibility include employment, compensation,

benefits, organizational development, employee relations, performance leadership, affirmative action,

training, recruitment, and safety. The Human Resources Manager recommends and develops policies and

implements approved programs and policies designed to protect the company and employee interests in

accordance with company HR policies and governmental laws and regulations.

This position requires a BA/BS in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or related

field and 10+ years of relevant experience, with 5+ in a leadership role. Certification in Human Resources,

such as SHRM- SCP and/or HRCI SPHR, is preferred. Additional specialized training targeted to leadership

development, employment law, and other Human Resources competencies preferred. Requires HRIS systems

knowledge and skills and strong project management skills. This position demands unquestionable honesty

and integrity with an unwavering commitment to confidentiality.

About Orenco

Orenco was founded in the 1980s by President Hal Ball and Executive Vice President Terry Bounds, to respond to widespread failures in Oregon's onsite wastewater systems. Our products and systems allow treated effluent to be returned harmlessly to the environment via drainfield, lagoon, constructed wetland, or subsurface irrigation. We maintain an environmental lab and invest time and money in a continuing research program, often in cooperation with colleges and universities. Our research and technologies appear in numerous publications, including Metcalf & Eddy's Wastewater Engineering: Treatment, Disposal, Reuse and Crites & Tchobanoglous' Small and Decentralized Wastewater Treatment Systems. Our engineers are regularly asked to give workshops, and our systems have been installed all over the world.
