Job Description


The position is primarily responsible for supporting the enterprise-wide risk management process under the direction of the SVP, Head of Enterprise Risk. This will include the implementation, execution, and maintenance of a risk management framework that includes general risk assessment, operational risk, portfolio management, impairment, charge-off processes, underwriting, loan origination QC/QA (loan review), identifying KPI/KRI's for purposes of monthly/quarterly enterprise risk reporting, and credit risk reporting and/or any other areas within the greater Risk Management function.


* Responsible for monitoring and assessing risk of bank in key risk areas (credit risk, operational risk, compliance, BSA/AML, legal, IT, etc.).
* Responsible for monitoring and assessing risk in portfolio management, charge-off processes and underwriting.
* Develop and coordinate enterprise risk dashboards by creating and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) across different disciplines of enterprise risk.
* Develop Trend Reports, Executive dashboards, Report Template Frameworks for Commercial and Credit Risk reporting and Allowance for Loan Loss and Leases (ALLL) reporting.
* Liaise with the enterprise risk organization, finance/accounting, and other bank groups as required for purposes of credit risk analysis/reporting.
* Identify structural issues in prospective transactions and recommend/enhance structuring of deals, underwriting practices, and covenants in line with regulatory guidance, bank policies and procedures.
* Assist with credit risk management duties/special projects and other duties as needed


Experience Level: 5+ years of Experience with Retail or Commercial banking is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, management, business, or related field.
* Risk management experience, including knowledge of risk management governance and controls
* Experience with building reports, dashboards, and scorecards that effectively communicate actionable decisions to senior management
* Strong data analysis and data-cleansing experience.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Demonstrated relationship-building skills, with a superior ability to make things happen through the use of positive influence
* Organizational awareness with an understanding of how to engage the organization to get things done
* Stellar attention to detail.
* Proficient in the usage of PowerPoint, Word, and SQL. Expert in Excel.
