Job Description:

Education Management Systems (EMS) is an educational organization and management solution for charter schools that provide unique opportunities to underserved youth throughout Southern California. EMS managed schools provide one-on-one attention and guidance, personalized learning plans, and a focus on social-emotional growth to allow students to find personal and academic success in high school and beyond.

General Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals. The ideal candidate sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, monitors and summarizes the progress of the project, and prepares reports for upper management regarding status of the project. The project manager must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures, and will rely on extensive their experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

This is a full time position working directly for our CEO out of our corporate office in Pasadena, CA

Job Duties:

* Lead the planning and implementation of projects
* Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
* Define project tasks and resource requirements
* Develop full-scale project plans
* Manage project budget, if applicable, and resource allocation
* Plan and schedule project timelines as well as track project deliverables
* Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
* Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
* Conduct project evaluations and assessment of results
* Maintain effective communication and working relationships with customers and project team
* Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

* Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
* Experience in people management, strategic planning, and change management
* Ability to coordinate and manage time

Required Education and Experience:

* Bachelors degree or equivalent preferred
* 3-5 years of related experience
* Construction experience A+
* Familiar with Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK)
* PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification is preferred
