Job Summary:

ON Semiconductor is seeking a self-driven and motivated professional to join the Integrated Circuit Division test team located in Phoenix, AZ. As a new products evaluation engineering intern you will have the opportunity to test, evaluate and provide data for high performance op-amps and current sense amplifiers. Candidate will collaborate with local and global engineers ensuring timely release of new products.

Performance Objectives:

* Utilize scopes, generators, meters, network analyzers, ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) testers and temperature forcers in the process of device evaluations.
* Assist peer engineers with data collection and reviews.
* Ability to follow schematic diagrams and independently setup test equipment.
* Provide clear and concise data reports and present orally to the engineering community.
* Review current test methodologies and implement improvements through automation enhancements.
* Design and assemble bench PCB's for testing of new products when needed.
* Create a summary of job performance for intern fair at conclusion of internship.

In order to be considered for an internship, you must be a student currently enrolled in school pursuing an accredited degree program. This position is specifically looking for a candidate pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering.

* 2-4 years of completed college level course work.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office products i.e., Excel, Word, Power Point.
* Excellent oral and written skills.
* Labview and PCB layout (PADS) experience a plus.
* Ability to occasionally lift 25lbs and configure test station cabling. This may include accessing behind and underneath bench stations (proper attire required).
* Soldering skills preferred.
