ON Semiconductor is seeking a self-driven and motivated software engineer to join the Smart Passive Sensors (SPS) team, located in Phoenix, Arizona. As a software engineer, you will have the opportunity to design and develop code for a wide range of software environments from embedded microcontroller to cloud services. The SPS team is fast paced, innovative and quality driven environment where Team is first.

The position will involve developing software for a wide range of applications and services using C/C , C#, Java, RESTful interfaces, and Cloud Services using the latest process and software development techniques. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic individual with strong desire to learn and advance the field of software engineering.

Performance Objectives:

This opportunity will ask a student to have the following performance objectives:

* Develop a wide range of software from embedded to user interfaces to accessing cloud services
* Understand and anticipate customer requirements and innovate around these requirements
* Participate and contribute in architecture and design discussions and decisions

In order to be considered for an internship, you must be a student currently enrolled in school pursuing an accredited degree program. This position is specifically looking for a Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering degree.

* Local candidates preferred
* Comfortable with one or more of the following programming languages: C/C , C#, Java
* Familiar with IDEs (Visual Studio, Eclipse)
* Experience with embedded software development (Microcontrollers, embedded Linux, Raspberry Pi)
* Knowledge of RESTful services
* Software version control (such as Git/GitHub)
