Job Description

Job Summary:

In this position you will have the opportunity to be part of an organization that is focused on the development and release of new product technologies for the mobile market. The work environment revolves around the guiding principles of building success through respect, integrity, and initiative. As a semiconductor product engineer you will be responsible for researching product technical requirements and validating its performance characteristics. You will work collaboratively with definition, design, and applications engineers to root-cause product issues, identify opportunities for resolution, and ultimately provide quality products to our end customers.

Performance Objectives:

* Develop semiconductor characterization plans that focus on necessary process, voltage, or temperature variants. Outline project tasks, schedule, and budget expectations.

* Work with design engineers to define testability requirements to ensure controllability and observability needs are met to support characterization and manufacturing test.

* Identify key product electrical test requirements, research equipment capabilities, and develop new test methodologies.

* Manage the design, fabrication, and assembly of PCB hardware that will be used during product validation. This includes schematic generation, component selection, and detailed PCB layout review.

* Develop automated programs for data collection using National Instruments Labview and TestStand software.

* Utilize bench instrumentation to validate product function. Process/analyze results and generate supporting documentation.

* Communicate product performance findings to technical peers and the overall development team.

* Master's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering

* 1-3yrs experience in product test engineering position (semiconductor environment preferred)

* Candidate must be highly motivated and able to demonstrate a history of independently solving technical problems, identifying electrical circuit performance issues, and recommending process/design improvement opportunities.

* Experience with equipment automation using National Instruments Labview and TestStand software preferred.

* Strong written and verbal skills are required in order to effectively communicate technical details to internal peers and external customers.

* Should be familiar with PCB development software tools such as OrCad and PADS.

* Experience developing technical requirements documents, generating specs, testing spec limits, and characterizing products across operating extremes.
