Olin Corporation is a manufacturer concentrated in three business segments: Chlor Alkali Products, Chemical Distribution and Winchester. Chlor Alkali Products, with nine U. S. manufacturing facilities and one Canadian manufacturing facility, produces chlorine and caustic soda, hydrochloric acid, hydrogen, bleach products and potassium hydroxide. Chemical Distribution manufactures bleach products and distributes caustic soda, bleach products, potassium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid. Winchester, with its principal manufacturing facilities in East Alton, IL and Oxford, MS, produces and distributes sporting ammunition, reloading components, small caliber military ammunition and components, and industrial cartridges. Olin Corporation's Winchester Division has a Electrical Engineering Controls Co-Op opportunity at its Oxford, MS facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

* Maintain PLC based control systems for manufacturing automation.
* Support maintenance in troubleshooting electrical controls.
* Maintain electrical schematics and documentation.
* Work under the direction and in support of a senior level engineer on basic electrical designs.
* Job responsibility will increase as the incumbent demonstrates he/she is capable of assigned tasks completely and effectively.

REQUIREMENTS

* Actively pursuing a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum 2.8 GPA.
* Completion of at least 3 credit hrs. in Electrical Engineering circuits classes required.
* Superior organizational, communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills required.
* Individual must be creative, self-motivated, and an independent thinker.
* Must be able to manage multiple projects and work well under pressure.
* Aptitude for detail with the ability to work in a team environment required.
* Desire to work in high volume manufacturing complex with numerous processes and equipment, i.e. PLCs, motors, drives, contactors, power supplies, transformers, and sensors
* Experience in the shooting sports is desired.
* Willing to work two seven-month sessions.
