If you are committed to helping improve the health of our communities in an environment of trust and collaboration, you are welcome to apply online: www.olathehealth.org/Careers EEO Employer M/F/Disabled/Vet POSITION SUMMARY Under the direct supervision of the Licensed Pharmacist and according to law and standard procedures, compounds, dispenses, and delivers medications and pharmaceutical supplies.# Prepares sterile products as required.# Fills orders, picks and delivers floor stock (Pyxis) supplies; pre-packs and compounds medications; enters charges into computer; makes rounds to pick up orders and deliver medications and IV#s; and performs other various duties related to the pharmacy technician role.# In addition, functions as a pharmacist apprentice.# As time and duties allow, closely observes and learns the technical and clinical roles of a pharmacist.# The Pharmacy Student is expected to support the mission, vision, and values of Olathe Medical Center, Inc. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM EDUCATION:# High School diploma or equivalent AND - must be currently enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Prefer previous pharmacy technician experience.# Technician experience in a hospital environment is preferred.# SKILLS: Ability to type; Ability to use the phone; Ability to perform basic math functions: add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions.# Computer ability.# Good communication, assessment, and organizational skills LICENSING: Registered in good standing as a pharmacy student intern with the state board of pharmacy.# Students accepted into pharmacy school but not yet licensed as an intern will be given a 60-day grace period to obtain licensure.
