Basic Function and Responsibility:

The Academic Project Implementation Coordinator supports faculty in the implementation and project management of academic initiatives aimed at student success, persistence, retention, and completion. Helps faculty, staff, and administration project manage academic components of the "Oakton Experience," which is Oakton Community College's systemic application of student success initiatives.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:

* Work collaboratively with faculty, staff and administration on the implementation and ongoing project management of various committee driven strategic academic and student services initiatives.


* Collaborate with appropriate faculty, staff and administrators to help develop implementation guidelines, including project timelines, budgets and ongoing supports.


* Work with appropriate faculty, staff and administrators on evaluation and longitudinal analysis of implemented initiatives.

* Serve as a technical resource to faculty, staff and administrators and manage expectations for implementation deadlines.


* Identify and act as the liaison with all project personnel on specified project initiatives.


* Assist Student Success Team chairs with agenda preparation as well as memorialization of meeting discussions.


* Prepare and maintain a list of initiatives to be accomplished and completed.


* Assist with the coordination, preparation, and submission of various reports to external agencies.


* Handle logistics for events associated with student success academic projects, including contacting involved parties, space and food arrangements.


* Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Hiring Qualifications and Working Conditions:

* Master's degree in management, business or a related field is required. Project Management Professional (PMP) ® certification is preferred.


* Exceptional organizational and time management skills are required. Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, prioritize, and effectively execute multiple initiatives, programs, and events and meet established deadlines is required.


* Ability to interact professionally and tactfully with people of different levels of education, cultural backgrounds, and life experiences, and to exhibit an adequate level of respect to fellow employees and the College community at large is required.


* A high level of interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral are required. Must be able to explain policies and communicate with others in situations requiring sensitivity and tact.


* Advanced word processing and advanced spreadsheet application skills are required.

Physical Demands:

Light lifting and carrying is light and may be up to 10. Mobility to move from building to building on-Campus and to visit off-Campus entities. Work is performed in a general office environment and is sedentary in nature. Little or no exposure to adverse working conditions.

Administrative supervision is received from the Dean of Curriculum and Instruction.

None

HOURS: Monday - Friday 8:15 am - 5:00

SALARY: $64,025
