We are now looking for a Solutions Architect:

NVIDIA is looking for new or recent college graduates with technical degrees to join its Fast Start program and work with the world's leader in visual and accelerated computing.

The core of our fast start college program is based around the solution architect position. Solution Architects work alongside mentors that lead customer technical evaluations of NVIDIA hardware/software. The focus will be to improve NVIDIA-based solutions to ensure a positive experience for our customers. Common duties include support for software development projects, benchmarking, and testing of GPU technologies during emerging technology evaluations by key customers.
The ideal candidate will have a solid computer architecture foundation, with some GPU-based visual or compute experience, and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing requirements. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently are essential. Experience with virtualization and remote visualization is a big plus, as is the ability to pick up new technologies quickly as needed.

LOCATION: Santa Clara, CA

What you'll be doing:

* Coordinate the setup of experiments, tests, equipment, and otherwise facilitate evaluations that help solve customer challenges
* Directly supporting Sales Account Managers, and working closely with Sales Account Managers to secure design wins, and to manage the support of the product through customer proof-of-concept evaluations
* Establish close personal technical ties to the customer account, establishing personal relationships to facilitate rapid resolution of customer issues and promote the highest levels of customer satisfaction
* Work closely with the customer team, and/or product engineering teams during quarterly rotation assignments
* Escalate, as necessary, critical customer issues and provide timely advance warning of critical customer issues that need attention

What we need to see:

* BSc in EE, CS, Math, or Physics or equivalent work experience
* Comfortable working hands-on in a lab environment with test equipment and procedures
* In-depth knowledge of computer systems architecture beneficial
* HPC systems management experience
* HPC software: MPI, compilers, common applications
* Networking: Ethernet, Infiniband
* Cluster management systems: rack and stack, cable management, etc
* Comfortable with at least one scripting language (i.e. Python, Perl, Ruby, Bash, ...)

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

* Experience with virtualized solutions such as Citrix or VMWare
* Windows server administration
* Previous experience in a direct customer support role
* Comfortable with at least one high-performance programming language (C, C++, FORTRAN, ...)
* Experience with CUDA programming
* Software development experience beneficial
