Role Overview

This position will focus on building a foundation of the site's Lean, Continuous Improvement and World Class Manufacturing (WCM) Initiatives.

This internship provides opportunities to learn:

* Core tools: 6s, A3 Thinking, SMED, RCFA, TWI, Standardized Work, VSM, TPM, APC, Equipment Reliability and Problem Solving.
* Exposure to plant shop floor teams and enabling Novelis to continuously improve performance, leverage Information centers for continuous improvement, and create a visual workplace, solve complex problems.
* Assist leadership in the development of strategic A3s for the Plant
* Exposure to Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing


* Assist in development /improvement of World Class Manufacturing improvement methodologies and tools for Berea.
* Assist in RIE and Loss Team events.
* Be a resource for Operations, Maintenance, EHS, Supply Chain and other departments in support of delivering the business objectives.


* Junior - Graduate Student
* Technical Skills: All Microsoft Office tools
* Enrollment in an Engineering or Manufacturing program is preferred
