Job Description

A clinically competent, registered, professional nurse who prescribes, delegates and coordinates nursing care to the acutely ill patient through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Effectively interacts with patient, significant others, and other health team members, while maintaining ANA standards of professional nursing practice.

Experience: Minimum- Peds ED: 1 year previous critical care experience. Preferred- Peds ED: 2 years previous critical care experience.

Education: Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse program. BSN required for all new hires as of 1/1/2011.

Training: PALS or ENPC will be accepted. Does not need TNCC if TNS is maintained. Peds ED - RN Lic, BLS, PALS, (Need ENPC & TNCC w/in 1 year.) Peds ED New Grads/Transfers - BLS, Lic RN, (Needs PALS/ENPC & TNCC w/in 1 year from hire). Preferred- TNS ECRN CPEN CEN

Licensure: *please view the training area above for specific certification requirements per area of work* CERT BLS , CERT ENPC , CERT PALS , CERT TNCC , LIC RN
