Job Description

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible for:

* Working as part of a team
* Working with onsite equipment

Model Development

* Developing, testing, implementing, and executing complex statistical models used for loss forecasting, scenario and stress testing, originations & collections, pricing, and portfolio optimization for retail and commercial assets
* Developing macroeconomic forecasts of stress scenarios and translation of regulatory defined stress test scenarios into model parameters
* Evaluating model output, summarizing, and articulating results to senior management
* Refining, monitoring, and supporting the validation of existing models
* Working with Model Owners to engage with and satisfy independent reviewers, auditors, validators, and regulators

Analytics and Portfolio Management

* Developing advanced analytics and reporting to support lines-of-business
* Leveraging industry and credit bureau data to develop business intelligence and identify growth opportunities and increase profitability
* Participating in the research, design, and implementation of new financial products and portfolio strategies

Enterprise Data Management

* Developing data environment to support needs of all quantitative activities
* Engaging lines-of-business to inspect and improve customer and facility data

Technology, Research, & Development

* Keeping abreast of best practices by attending industry conferences, product demos, and webinars
* Reviewing academic and industry research, present summaries to senior leadership, and suggest practical applications
* Continue professional growth utilizing continuing education and training credits

PREFERRED EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: An undergraduate degree in a field related to physics, mathematics, statistics, economics, or other quantitative discipline is required. Masters degree, PhD, or professional certification is preferred. 1 -3 years business experience in a financial or consulting organization. Candidate must have technical training or education focused on developing complex statistical models and advanced analytics. Basic understanding of financial loan products is preferred. Candidate must be able to summarize and articulate complex topics to senior management. Experience programming in Python or R is preferred. Knowledge of visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) is preferred.
