Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.

Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a HR Business Partner to provide Human Resources support to our Propulsion Systems Division leadership and employee teams in our Utah offices.

As a Human Resources Business Partner you will have the opportunity to partner with an internal client base to deliver exceptional HR support in the areas of HR policies, processes, and programs (e.g. merit and promotion planning, performance management, talent and career development, staffing/recruitment, etc).

Key Responsibilities

* Collaborates with business to develop and execute effective HR strategies to meet business objectives
* Partners with HR Centers of Excellence (e.g. Talent Acquisition, Org Development) to deliver HR services
* Works closely with leadership and employees to understand culture survey feedback and identify areas of improvement. Coach leaders on ways to positively influence workplace environment, improve work relationships, build employee engagement, resolve employee relations, and increase productivity and retention
* Serve as business unit coordinator for annual New Grad hiring and Intern programs
* Deliver new hire orientation to incoming employees
* In coordination with Corporate Benefits, plan and implement business unit wellness activities
* Independently coordinate and manage a variety of projects
* Create and provide HR adhoc reports for HR metrics, special reports and misc requests from leadership and other HR Business Partners

Education and Experience Requirements

* BS degree in HR, Business, or related field and 3 years applicable experience (or MS and 1 year)
* Intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (experience in Access is helpful

Additional Information:

Position is located in the Promontory (west of Corrine, UT) location. However, the HR Business Partner will have responsibility for customers at multiple locations. Successful candidate must be willing to travel between the Magna and Promontory locations (90 miles apart) as needed. Expected travel is expected to be minimal.
