Northrop Grumman is seeking a User Experience Researcher to join the Enterprise Services Intern Program. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Mission Excellence organization which in conjunction with our internal service owners, will rapidly design and develop our enterprise services with a focus on end user experience and quality. Our collective goal is to create an outstanding experience for all Northrop Grumman employees who use our enterprise services.

The selected candidate will work in a highly collaborate office environment but will also interact with team members both domestically and globally.

As an intern, you'll participate in a summer internship program to develop competencies in a variety of User Experience specializations that may include:

Roles and Responsibilities

* Work under the direction of a lead user experience researcher to help conduct user research
* Assist in performing analysis of research data in order to create actionable findings
* Employ user-centered design methodologies to drive a better user experience in company services
* Contribute to the design process by creating graphical mock-ups and/or UI prototypes

Basic Qualifications:

A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

* Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 2019.
* Be majoring in Communications, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology or a related field
* Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
* Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2019
* Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
* Ability to graph and report analysis of research topics

Preferred Qualifications:

* Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher
* Good presentation and writing/communication skills.
* Self-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment.
* Experience in developing and delivering presentations and leading small groups.
* Experience with graphical design, wire framing, and prototyping tools
* Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
