Job Description

Join us in developing state-of-the-art automated mission planning and management systems for manned and unmanned applications. These systems require solving complex mission planning and mission execution problems using extensive domain knowledge and creativity.

Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. In this position you will develop software to model the flight of various aircraft. This will include modeling the vehicles exact location (pitch, roll, yaw) at specified intervals on a route, modeling climbs and descents and considering a changing vehicle center of gravity. This will include manned, unmanned aircraft for fixed and rotatory wing. Your work will be performed using Agile development methodologies in a team environment.

The qualified candidate will possess the following skills:

* Ability to function in multi-disciplinary team-oriented environment and rapidly adapt to changing work priorities
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

This requisition may be filled at either a level 2 or a level 3.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:

* Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 2 years related experience; Masters in STEM discipline with no experience
* US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance
* C# and/or C programming language with emphasis on object-oriented software development
* Experience writing software for mission planning or related systems
* Experience writing Flight Simulation software, 6-DOF, or route propogation
* Experience with MS Windows applications and proficient in the use of MS Office software

Basic Qualifications for a Level 4:

* Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 5 years related experience; Master's degree in STEM discipline with 3 years related experience; PhD in STEM discipline with no experience
* US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance
* C# and/or C programming language with emphasis on object-oriented software development
* Experience writing software for mission planning or related systems
* Experience writing Flight Simulation software, 6-DOF, or route propogation
* Experience with MS Windows applications and proficient in the use of MS Office software

Preferred Qualifications:

* JMPS (Joint Mission Planning System) experience is a plus
* Experience developing component-based interface software, system testing, debugging, and deployment
* strong mathematics knowledge and in-depth engineering skills
* Active or reinstatable DoD security clearance
