Job Description

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a new graduate or entry level Hardware Engineer to join our team of qualified diverse individuals. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Engineering, Manufacturing, and Science Team working in an exciting operational environment interacting with the development team, operators, and customers.

Roles and Responsibilities

* Analyze data center environmental controls including power and cooling.
* Design data center computing systems including storage, networking, and audio video.
* Provide material handling and procurement of hardware systems.
* Install, configure, and checkout of data center computing systems.
* Support the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pretest preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results and preparation of required reports.
* Prepare test plans, verify requirements, and document discrepancies.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Math, or related discipline.
* Must have a DoD Secret clearance that is or has been active within the past 2 years
* Ability to obtain a Passport.
* Must have prior experience troubleshooting technical problems and issues developing solutions.
* Must be able to travel ~25% of the time.
* Must be capable of performing hardware integration with minimal supervision.
* Good presentation and writing/communication skills
* Self-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

* Networking knowledge and understanding of boundary protection devices, including switches, routers, firewalls, and IPS devices
* Top Secret security clearance
* Working knowledge of Linux Red Hat and Microsoft Windows operating systems.
