SUPERVISOR, WELCOME BABY PROGRAM (GRANT-FUNDED)
Full-Time benefitted position, Mon-Fri 8a-5p
Northridge Hospital Medical Center The Supervisor for the Welcome Baby Program will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of the Welcome Baby staff. The Supervisor will supervise the Parent Coaches and ensures other team members are properly trained and receive reflective supervision. They will also provide overall accountability for the program and ensures the integrity and quality of the program meets the requirements of the grant.
This is a 3-year grant funded position and continuation of position will depend on grant renewal.
Education: Bachelor"s degree in Nursing, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Developmental Psychologist.
Experience: At least five years" experience working in Maternal-Child Health as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Developmental Psychologist including two years as a supervisor. Knowledge of normal fetal, infant, and toddler development; prenatal and child health requirements; and early childhood education best practices. Minimum 3 years of specialized training in community health, i.e. public health nurse, social work or development psychologist.
License/Certifications: Current CA license in area of specialty (i.e. RN, LCSW, Psych). Basic Life Support required to be maintained after hire. Maintain CA Driver"s License and automobile insurance. Preferred: Certified Lactation Educator (CLE), Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) or International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC/RLC), or Child Development Associate (CDA) Certification preferred.
