Commercial Insurance Intern - Commercial Real Estate Finance
This internship position will be responsible for maintaining and satisfying commercial insurance requirements by tracking various deadlines related to insurance renewals and other insurance department tasks. The ideal candidate will be analytical, detailed and driven to meet various deadlines while working independently on assigned workload, insuring accuracy remains a priority. A disciplined individual who is driven to enhance and maintain quality processes, while demonstrating problem solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks, will excel at this position. Ongoing training is provided as part of the position to ensure expertise within the team and department. Additional responsibilities, including a summer intern project and multiple other projects, may be added as job expertise is demonstrated.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Plan and schedule own workload to most efficiently meet benchmarks.
* Provide premier customer service to lenders, borrowers, agents, and other NorthMarq staff.
* Monitor and collect evidence of insurance and other policy documentation, upon expiration.
* Create, maintain, and update commercial mortgage insurance files.
* Complete review of insurance renewal certificates and identify coverage deficiencies.
* Monitor and maintain several reports and the Insurance Team's Outlook inbox.
* Disburse insurance premiums from applicable escrow accounts and determine course of action in the event of insufficient funds.
* Participate in the Summer Intern Team Project with the other NorthMarq interns and present to Senior Management.
* Commitment to attend weekly mentor meetings and networking meetings with Senior Management.
* Perform other reasonable tasks/projects and assist our Insurance (Analyst) Teams, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Pursuing Bachelor's Degree, preferably in the finance, insurance, math, real estate or accounting areas.
Work Experience: Prior internship and/or office experience preferred.
