Job Description

The GI Technician Team Lead is responsible for coordinating and providing daily oversight for GI Technician-related activities and staff, in consultation with Director and Charge Nurse, in order to achieve continuous and optimal patient care according to industry standards and guidelines. Accountable for scheduling technicians and providing staff development. The lead technician, under the supervision of the GI Lab Director and Charge Nurse, will assist in the various activities of the GI Lab department. EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years of previous GI technician and/or sterile processing experience required. Knowledge of reprocessing and endoscopy industry standards and guidelines required. Previous leadership experience preferred. Certification in Flexible Endoscope High Level Disinfection Reprocessing preferred. Completion of SGNA Advanced Associate program preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS: Leadership and conflict resolution; self-motivated, organized and has the ability to work independently. OTHER: Basic computer skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. LICENSE/CERT: Required: BLS, CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) EDUCATION: Required: High School or Equivalent
