Job Description

Meritas Health, a subsidiary of North Kansas City Hospital, is seeking a Primary Care, RN Clinical Manager to manage the day-to day clinical functions of a large primary care practice with a sizeable percentage of high acuity/high risk patients.  Focus areas include care delivery & patient experience, care team relationships, staff performance & education, and attainment of quality goals.

The position will focus on:
  • Appropriate staffing for office volume and maintaining staff costs within budget
  • Monitoring EMR tasks such as labs, diagnostic tests, telephone encounters, and prescriptions for timeliness and accuracy of processing
  • Supervising work flow to ensure maximum physician scheduling and productivity.  Ensuring accurate and timely patient communication, documentation of patient care and follow up
  • Demonstrating a thorough understanding of governmental and commercial payer quality requirements and the processes needed to meet them. 
  • Providing education to providers and clinical staff on topics such as motivational interviewing, teach back methods and patient self-management skills training
  • Implementing performance improvement strategies
Qualified candidates will possess a State of Missouri Registered Nursing License; have 2 years supervisory experience in a healthcare setting with high acuity patients; a current BLS; knowledge of quality metrics is strongly preferred.
