Job Description

SUMMARY: The Clinical Informatics Educator/ Physician Liaison coordinates and develops workflow based education content to facilitate implementation and adoption of the electronic medical record and supporting information systems and applications. Collaboration, planning and communication with the Medical Staff, Nursing, Clinicians, Educators, HIM and IT staffs is essential to ensure adoption and further capabilities and enhancements with HIT solutions to improve patient safety, quality, and outcomes via an electronic medical record.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2-5 years Position related experience required; 5+ years position related experience preferred; Cerner Millennium Power Chart experience highly desirable

SPECIAL SKILLS: Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

OTHER: Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills.

LICENSE/CERT: Required: RN (Registered Nurse) State of Missouri, Healthcare IT Technician Certification

EDUCATION: , Preferred: Bachelors - Nursing
