Job Description

Meritas Health is hiring a Claims Denial Associate to monitor, research and resolve rejected claims. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years previous experience in a physician office setting and be comfortable working in a fast paced environment.  We're looking for someone who can institute a process to minimize the number of claims denials and perform claims follow-up procedures on unpaid and denied claims in a timely manner.  Denial follow up activities must be conducted in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and insurance company guidelines.  You'll be working with clinics to improve front-end revenue cycle processes and performance to reduce denied claims to meet benchmark.

This position requires someone with excellent oral and written communication skills and current knowledge of CPT, ICD.10, HCPCS, and modifier codes and their proper usage. Must be a high school graduate/GED and a Certied Professional Coder (CPC) by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) or the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
