Job Description

Escrow Processor

Summary of Position:

Accounting for escrow receipts from prospective purchasers and subsequent disbursement for closings. Accounting for payables and receivables associated with corporate inventory and REO properties listed with us.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

* Receipt and record funds in the AIM system and ensure appropriate back up documentation is received.
* File Stop Payments with the bank.
* Prepare and distribute escrow letters and NSF Letters,
* Open, file & receipt deposits into AIM
* Daily & monthly reconciliation of Escrow Accounts.
* Disburse escrow by cutting checks or initiating wires and ensuring that the appropriate signatures and or other back up is received.
* Respond/route escrow disputes, (send out correspondence/ distribute held funds as appropriate), address issues surrounding the required documentation for release of funds, review and sign off on reconciliations for Centralized Escrow services.
* Balance the files and checks for any old balances or file issues.
* Process payment of approved invoices related to inventory and REO properties.
* Request reimbursement request from client for paid invoices.
* Post receipt of reimbursements.
* Review property balances to follow up on reimbursement requests.
* Review property balances semi-annually for appropriate write-offs.
* Assist BHHS Commission Processing in inputting and processing of new hired agents packages and other tasks as required.

Education and Experience Requirements:

* High school diploma.
* College degree desired but not mandatory.
* 2 years bookkeeping, accounts payable and accounts receivable experience required.
* Data entry experience.

Physical Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the Escrow Processor to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.

Additional Requirements:

* Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with internal associates to address any questions related to effectively perform the job functions.
