Norman Noble, Inc. - Cleveland, OH

Norman Noble, Inc. is the most technologically advanced medical device contract manufacturer in the medtech industry supplying 18 of the top 20 medtech OEM's in the world. With our unique micromachining and finishing capabilities, we prototype, validate and manufacture the newest medical device, component and implant designs. We have deep expertise producing medical devices for numerous applications including vascular, orthopedic, endoscopy and arthroscopy devices. We specialize in micromachining of exotic materials to very complex geometries with dimensional tolerances to +/- .0001. For over 70 years, customers have relied on our expertise, capabilities and professionalism.


Responsibilities include analysing drawings and specifications to formulate production methods, cost estimates and pricing. Also responsible for managing suppliers in procurement process.

Experience, Skills, Requirements:

  • 2 or more years purchasing and/or cost estimating experience in manufacturing (job shop) required.
  • 2 year technical degree (engineering preferred) required.
  • 2 or more years' experience in manufacturing environment required. Machining experience is a plus.
  • Must have thorough knowledge/understanding of processes and equipment used at NNI (Swiss, EDM, Milling, and/or Laser), including understanding of cycle times/ability to formulate cycle times.
  • Must have ability to construct detailed job Routers, including materials and outside process costs.
  • Must understand customer specifications, including quality requirements and testing procedures as they affect the manufacturing process.
  • Must have working knowledge and understanding of blueprint reading, including GD&T.
  • Must have advanced math skills (geometry, algebra and trigonometry).
  • Must have MRP/ERP experience. Epicor experience preferred.
  • Must have high level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to successfully manage multiple/competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Must have outstanding organizational, project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have exceptional communication skills, with ability to work cooperatively and successfully with internal and external customers and vendors.
  • Working knowledge/experience with ISO 9001, 13485 is a plus.
