Quality Engineer
Norman Noble, Inc. - Cleveland, OH

Norman Noble, Inc. is the most technologically advanced medical device contract manufacturer in the medtech industry supplying 18 of the top 20 medtech OEM's in the world. With our unique micromachining and finishing capabilities, we prototype, validate and manufacture the newest medical device, component and implant designs. We have deep expertise producing medical devices for numerous applications including vascular, orthopedic, endoscopy and arthroscopy devices. We specialize in micromachining of exotic materials to very complex geometries with dimensional tolerances to +/- .0001. Scope:

Responsible for implementing and maintaining quality system requirements and ongoing quality,

product, manufacturing, and process engineering activities.

Experience, Skills, Requirements:

  • Two or more years in a comparable engineering role, preferably in medical device, automotive, or aerospace manufacturing required. Candidates with 2 - 4 years' experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Precision machining/finishing ops experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to read/interpret mechanical drawings.
  • Must be hands-on, able to manage multiple projects successfully to meet deadlines.
  • Strong project management skills required.
  • Must be highly organized and analytical.
  • Must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of fundamental quality and statistical tools such as SPC, DOE, validation, quality planning, inspection methods & equipment, risk analysis and Gage R&R is preferred.
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Bachelor's degree STEM discipline required.
  • Working knowledge/experience with ISO 9001, 13485 and FDA QSR is preferred.
  • ASQ CQT, CQA, and/or CQE certification is a plus.
