A Day in the Life of an Industrial Development Co-Op

As a Co-op you will gain knowledge of Norfolk Sothern's Industrial Development process. Co-op will help in the process of updating site material and site data base. Co-op will work closely with an engineer to help with preliminary and conceptual industry track and industrial park plans. Student must be versed in engineering drawing software such as Microstation/AutoCAD. Knowledge of Microsoft products and Adobe Acrobat are preferred. Co-ops should be willing to study site information and reference material in order to resolve problems and make layouts suggestions. Responsibilities include 20% travel.

Education/Experience

* Pursuing a Bachelor's/Master's Degree
* Preferred Degree Paths: Civil Engineering

Compensation

* Freshman (27 or fewer credits) - $2,500/month
* Sophomore (28 to 59 credits) - $2,800/month
* Junior (60 to 89 credits) - $3,000 /month
* Senior (90 or more credits) - $3,300/month
* Graduate Student - $3,666/month
* Living stipend of $850/month is available to those who qualify.
