Retro Studios

Founded in 1998, Retro Studios is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nintendo Company, Ltd. Retro is a state-of-the-art game development studio, working in conjunction with Nintendo to bring award-winning games to Nintendo's cutting-edge next-generation platforms. * Translate English and Japanese correspondence between Retro and NCL
* Function as liaison between Retro and NCL for business and technical document and verbal translation, Coordinate travel arrangements and meeting schedules
* Prepares and distributes reports
* Attend meetings and participates in conference calls
* Perform confidential verbal and written Japanese and English translations
* Process expense reports
* Maintain department files
* Assist in inventory management and ordering of department supplies
* Complete special projects
* Assist Operations staff with corporate function planning
* Assist Operations staff with invoice processing, benefits enrollment, and Finance and HR filing
* Match and process PO's, invoices, and receipts
* Provide support with Purchasing coordination
* Assist with recruiting - schedules recruit travel and interviews when necessary
* Coordinate and orders after hours meals
* Support localization producers and specialists with the coordination of materials, logistics, scheduling and related administrative services needed to execute localization of assigned software products
* Translate and enter text from scripts into subtitles database
* Provide administrative support to CEO
* Handle details of a highly confidential and critical nature
* Collect and prepare information for use in discussions/meetings of executive staff and outside individuals
* Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors

* Very strong English/Japanese bilingual skills (verbal and written)
* Excellent Japanese and English translation skills
* In-depth understanding of Japanese business ethics
* Ability to maintain high quality standards
* Good judgment and decision making skills
* Ability to work with highly confidential and/or sensitive materials/information
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy and work effectively with all levels of personnel
* Excellent PC skills - including Japanese and English versions of MS Word and Excel
* Five years' professional translation experience in bilingual environment
* One - Two years' experience with invoice and expense report processing
* College degree or professional certification preferred
