Oracle Functional Analyst (Financial)

Responsibilities:

* Design, build and implement functional solutions which meet desired business requirements
* Support Oracle users in their daily business solutions including system training and production issue troubleshooting

Qualifications:

* A bachelor's degree in business or information technology/computer sciences or accounting.
* Designs new computer programs by analyzing requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications.
* Improves systems by studying current practices; designing modifications.
* Recommends controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures.
* Defines and document project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; forming project team; establishing project budget.
* Monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.
* Maintains system protocols by writing and updating procedures.
* Provides references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation; providing help desk support; training users.
* Maintains user confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
* Prepares functional requirements by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
* Ability to work in a professional manner, be flexible, and handle interactions with all levels of the organization and with external clients.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate well with other members of the team and with non-technical end users.
* Good written and verbal communications skills are required.
* Self-directed, organized, and motivated.
* Assist in the developing solutions for business processes from manual to Oracle R12 application, designing, developing and support a 24/7environment.
* Participate in all phases of system implementation including requirements gathering, functional and technical design, system design and development, testing and roll-out and support.
* Utilize disciplined development methodology for continuous evolution and optimization for the Oracle solution.
* Provide daily user support of the Oracle R12 Functional modules.
* Troubleshoot transaction issues. Fully document all configurations, customizations, and interfaces to other systems
* Open and manage SR service request tickets with Oracle Support.
* Organize user training including documentation for the Oracle R12 modules
* This position may have some travelling involved ( varies between 10-20% during the year)

Qualifications

Minimum Required:

* Years of Experience in Field: 5-7 years of working/internship experience equivalent or college graduate with internship experience.

Preferred (Optimal Candidate):

* Years of Experience in Field: 7+ years
* Years of Experience in Position: 3-5 years
* Years of Experience in Supervising Employees: 1-2 years

Required Skills (List all that apply)

* Proficient computer skills (i.e. Excel, Outlook, Access)
* Intermediate SQL skills
* Experience working with relational databases and tables
* Some knowledge of Accounting or Finance, Supply Chain or Logistics/Operations

Ideal Skills (not a must)

* Exposure to Oracle Applications Versions R12, 11.i
* Exposure to Oracle Applications Modules: iExpense, Accounts Payable (AP), General ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Purchasing (PUR), Fixed Assets, Cash Management (CM), iSupplier, AME
* Software: Mark View, MS Office, SharePoint, Data loader, JIRA, Visio and MS-Projects.
* Application Implementation Methodology
* Toad & SQL plus for running queries and scripts

Education

Minimum Required:

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, or Accounting/Finance

Preferred (Optimal Candidate):

* Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, or Accounting/Finance
