Position Summary

The Division of Programs in Business in School of Professional Studies is seeking an individual to advise students on academic programs, policies and procedures. Interpret University and school policies and recommend exceptions to policy, when appropriate.

Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's degreePreferred Education:Master's degree in Student Personnel Administration, Counseling, or related business areaRequired Experience:2 years' relevant experience in student advising or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred Experience:Experience advising students at the college or university level.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to supervise staff. Ability to advise and provide solutions to problems. Knowledge of standard office software. Oral presentation and strong writing skills. Ability to resolve problems in a timely manner.Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Ability to provide excellent customer service. Ability to manage multiple projects and work with diverse student populations. Ability to diffuse conflicts and come up with creative solutions to complex problems.
