Job Description


Help Drive the Success of a Growing Psychiatric Hospital

Part Time Physical Therapist

Evaluates, plans and provides physical therapy treatment programs for patients whose injury, disease, or loss of body part interferes with daily functioning.

Evaluates the patient's abilities and impairments by obtaining a history and performing examinations; selects and administers appropriate tests and measurements. Interprets evaluations. Performs administrative aspects of patient care, i.e. schedules, attendance records, charges, insurance requirements, etc. Ensures documentation is in accordance with the department policy.

Schedule-10 Hours per week- 2 Hours per day

Required Criteria

* Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
* Limited Permit as per New York State Practice Act for Physical Therapists
* New York State Physical Therapist License within one year of hire
* Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
* Knowledge of Physical Therapy practices

Preferred Criteria

* Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
* APTA Membership
