Responsibilities

NYIT's College of Arts and Sciences seeks a full time tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor in the area of Inorganic and/or Analytical Chemistry, located at the Old Westbury campus.

Responsibilities:

Teach undergraduate introductory and advanced courses in general, inorganic, and analytical chemistry lecture and laboratory. Pursue research in the field of expertise, engage undergraduate students in research, advise students and perform service to the department, university and community.

Projected start date is in the Fall of 2018 with primary teaching responsibilities at the Old Westbury campus, and possible occasional teaching in Manhattan.

Qualifications

A Ph.D. in Chemistry and post doctoral experience is required. A record of scholarly activity appropriate for the rank and evidence of successful undergraduate teaching is required. Demonstration of collaborative and/or interdisciplinary research is preferred. The successful candidate will demonstrate a potential to attract external funding.
