Position Summary:

The Science, Technology, Society (STS) Program in the Department of Humanities seeks to hire a faculty member in the field of psychology to help grow its Cyberpsychology degree concentration. Candidates should have an internationally recognized record of scholarly work commensurate with appointment at the rank of tenured Associate Professor or Professor. Candidates are expected to have a synergistic impact on existing research programs, participate in externally-funded research, and demonstrate a commitment to innovation in undergraduate and graduate education. Candidates should submit a letter of application, curriculum vita, statements of leadership philosophy, research and teaching interests, and names of at least three references.

Essential Functions:

The successful candidate will articulate a compelling vision for the growth and development of the Cyberpsychology Program in the areas of research, teaching, and service across the social and applied behavioral sciences. As a faculty member of the Science, Technology, and Society (STS) Program in the Department of Humanities, the incumbent is expected to (1) teach undergraduate and graduate coursework in psychology and the applied behavioral sciences; (2) develop and teach new courses in psychology and the applied behavioral sciences; and (3) provide service for the Program, Department, the College, and the University.

Additional Functions:

With assistance from concentration coordinator, oversee the new Cyberpsychology Program's administrative functions, advising, growth and development, curricula, and assessment.

Prerequisite Qualifications:

Ph.D. degree in psychology, behavioral sciences,, or a closely related field from an accredited institution. Demonstrated programmatic, departmental, or university-wide leadership skills.
