Job Description

Neuberger Berman's Human Capital Management Team is looking for aHuman Resources Business Partner to support our Fixed Income Business in our Chicago offices. NB Fixed Income oversees $140 billion in AUM.

Our HR Business Partners interface closely with client groups in the areas business planning, team building, and employee development.

Responsibilities:

* Act as an advisor to managers providing Human Resources expertise in implementing business initiatives and promoting employee engagement.
* Identify and frame HR issues and solutions with an ability to integrate strategic concepts and essential tactical elements.
* Coach and collaborate with managers on initiatives such as employee engagement, managing change and organizational management.
* Play an active role in the development and implementation of HR programs including the on-boarding and assimilation of new employees, performance management, promotions / career development, employee recognition, training & development and the compensation review process.
* Partner with managers to think of effective, creative solutions to employee effectiveness and engagement.
* Provide advice and coaching to managers and employees in the area of employee relations.
* Take a hands-on approach to managing the day-to-day operational aspects of HR including position management, staffing plans, compensation management, headcount activity and turnover.
* Lead Fixed Income and Chicago based recruiting and initiatives (interns and lateral hiring)

Requirements:

* 10+ years of HR Business Partner experience, including experience in fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Expertise in areas such as engagement, performance management, employee relations and compensation planning to support client groups and develop best practices within the team.
* Effective communicator with the ability to frame issues and solutions.
* Strong project management skills - needed to manage projects for clients groups as well as initiatives within the HR team.
* Collaborative, communicative style; strong client relationship management skills and a team orientation.
* Demonstrated situational and time management flexibility.
* A hands-on approach and an ability to work within a mid-sized HR team.
* Technical skills in the areas of MS Office and Workday a big plus
