Job Description

Assist sales department in a variety of sales and sales support functions including the market research, coordination with marketing on development of sales literature and direct mail, internet research, competitor profiles, trade show planning, data analysis and clerical functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Conducts market analysis and research as needed.
* Copies data and compiles records and reports on sales activities.
* Records names, addresses, purchases, and reactions of customers and prospects solicited in CRM software program.
* Support sales efforts of other sales staff members.
* Help complete and maintain competitive analysis.
* Work with sales team to develop marketing ideas.
* Help coordinate, attend (if required) and analyze industry trade shows and meeting to (1) promote products and services; (2) increase market and competitive knowledge; and (3) identify new products for distribution, OEM or development.
* Help develop advertising and promotional programs; monitor results.
* Review industry publications to keep abreast of industry - new products, trends, size of market, news, etc. Share articles of interest with organization.
* Operates office machines such as computer, facsimile, copier and adding machine.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Currently working on or completed a bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Fluency in a foreign language considered a plus. Most relevant languages include Spanish, French, German, Arabic and Chinese.

MATHEMATICAL AND COMPUTER SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Direct experience with personal computer, keyboard and software packages including: Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and CRM. Computer used in 80% of job activities.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Current driver's license, auto insurance, own vehicle transportation.
