Job Description

Nebraska Medicine is now taking applications for a talented individual to join us as a Pharmacy Intern in Bellevue, NE. #This role will be working in the Nebraska Medicine - Bellevue #Outpatient Pharmacy. The Pharmacy Intern role will be a Part Time/Casual position, working 1 to 2 week day afternoon shifts with a rotating Saturday shift. #Shifts are typically 4 to 5 hours with mindfulness given to class and test schedules. To be considered for this role, applicants must be currently enrolled or accepted into a ACPE Doctor of Pharmacy Program.# #A Nebraska Pharmacy Intern registration OR Nebraska Pharmacy Technician registration is required. The Pharmacy Intern will gain experience in different areas within the Outpatient Pharmacy, including order entry, product dispensing , medication counseling, medication therapy management and medication adherence programs. Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the incumbent shall prepare, dispense and distribute medication and provide clinical monitoring and drug information in a manner, which ensures optimal patient care. Required Qualifications: High school education or equivalent required. Currently enrolled in an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy program required. Ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff and patients required. Employee must demonstrate basic computer skills and use of typical office equipment required. Licensed Nebraska pharmacy intern or registered as a pharmacy technician with the State of Nebraska Board of Pharmacy required. Preferred Qualifications: Previous pharmacy experience preferred. Basic Life Support certification preferred. #
