Job Description

- Participate in the development of the Fandango production data platform

- Design and implement highly scalable, reliable, extensive and maintainable code frameworks that support large-scale data platforms

- Follow best engineering practices such as architectural design, unit and regression testing, test-driven development, and continuous integration frameworks

- Work with the infrastructure team to ensure that all the required monitoring, exception handling and fault tolerance is in place for a production quality data platform

- 1-2 years of professional experience with at least one development language (Python, Java) in a production environment

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a quantitative concentration or equivalent

- Knowledge of distributed data architectures and their eco-systems (Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Spark, EMR, etc.)

- Knowledge and understanding of ETL processes and frameworks for large-scale, complex datasets

- Experience with SQL and Relational Databases

- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts

- Ability to work on distributed, scalable, service-oriented platforms and to deliver high quality, production ready code

- Strong knowledge of the agile software development life cycle

- Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal and written) to effectively interact with a diverse team of people across business and engineering
