NSA Overview

The professionals at the National Security Agency (NSA) have one common goal: to protect our nation.  The mission requires a strong offense and a steadfast defense. The offense collects, processes and disseminates intelligence information derived from foreign signals for intelligence and counterintelligence purposes. The defense prevents adversaries from gaining access to sensitive of classified national security information. Customer Outreach Advocates play a vital role by acting as a liaison between the Agency and DoD, Intelligence Community, Executive branch, academic, and public-private partnerships.

Description of the Position

Customer Outreach Advocates responsibilities include:

- Engaging in long-term development and day-to-day management of external customer-relations.
- Anticipating and assessing customer needs, providing information or assistance, and satisfying or managing their expectations.
- Providing timely and accurate responses to requests for assistance, information, products, or services within appropriate legal authorities.
- Resolving customer concerns, problems, and complaints and providing timely feedback to customers on resolution.
- Building collaborative relationships as well as information and knowledge sharing networks aligned with strategic interest.

Qualifications
 
Salary Range:  $56,233 - $73,105 (Entry/Developmental)

Salary offers are based on candidates' education level and years of experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager/organization regarding the work level for the position.

Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 6 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.

Degree in any area is acceptable.

Relevant experience must include working within the IC/DoD and Cryptologic or inter-agency support. External engagement/collaboration experience (ex., participation in cross-Agency working groups, JDA, field assignment, external customer support) within the DoD or IC is preferred.

Salary Range:  $68,036 - $106,012 (Full Performance)

Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience or a Doctoral degree plus 1 year of relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 8 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.

Degree in any area is acceptable.

Salary Range:  $96,970 - $148,967 (Senior)

A high school diploma or GED plus 10 years of relevant experience or an Associate's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.

Degree in any area is acceptable.

Relevant experience must include working within the IC/DoD and Cryptologic or inter-agency support. External engagement/collaboration experience (ex., participation in cross-Agency working groups, JDA, field assignment, external customer support) within the DoD or IC and managing people or projects is preferred. At least 1 year of experience with the customer/client being served is preferred.
