NSA Overview
The professionals at the National Security Agency (NSA) have one common goal - to protect our nation. The mission requires a strong offense and a steadfast defense. The offense collects, processes and disseminates intelligence information derived from foreign signals for intelligence and counterintelligence purposes. The defense prevents adversaries from gaining access to sensitive classified national security information. The National Security Agency (NSA) currently has opportunities for highly motivated Facilities Planners to provide short-term and long-range space plans that deliver efficient and effective facilities to support the Agency's mission.
Description of Position
As a Facilities Planner, your responsibilities may include:
- Developing strategies for major initiatives such as renovations and military construction (MILCON). - Creating budgets and schedules for implementing major initiatives - Maintaining and updating space occupancy database for real time accountability of all occupied and available space. - Creating and implementing standards for facilities modernization, and tracking investments in real property. - Testing and evaluating new trends and technologies to provide guidance, project management services, hands-on facilities support, engineering consulting services and technical expertise in facilities management. - Reading and understanding graphic materials (e.g., diagrams, schematics, blueprints, maps, or GUIs). - Understanding and implantation of sustainability initiatives - Managing space resources, infrastructure, and facility capacities - Working with other facilities professionals such as Program Managers (PMs), Building Managers (BMs), engineers and IT technicians to understand the physical planning needs of the stakeholders balanced with an understanding of existing conditions in order to make informed space planning decisions. - Developing and presenting briefings

Salary Range: $45,972 - $73,105 (Entry/Developmental)

Entry is with a Bachelor's degree and no experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 4 years of relevant experience or an Associate's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience may be considered.
Degree in a Construction or related field (e.g., Architecture, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Design, Engineering, Space Planning, and Interior Design) or a Business related field (e.g., Economics, Marketing, Accounting, Business Administration, and Finance) is preferred.
Relevant experience in space planning and design, facilities, project management, economics, marketing, accounting, business administration, finance, property/space management, human resources, training, security, communications, or budgeting is preferred.
Salary Range: $68,036 - $106,012 (Full Performance)

Degree in a Construction or related field (e.g., Architecture, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Design, Engineering, Space Planning, and Interior Design) or a Business related field (e.g., Economics, Marketing, Accounting, Business Administration, and Finance) is preferred.
