Job Description

National Instruments (Santa Clara, CA) has an immediate opening for a talented, entry to mid-level Manufacturing Product Engineer in support of RF Microwave/Millimeter Wave products. This position will have the primary responsibility of providing New Product Introduction and production support through a wide range of activities. Responsibilities will include creating and maintaining documentation, support in the structuring of BOMs, planning for prototypes and managing pilot jobs, as well as assisting Engineers to test, validate, and release test procedures and ATE. Additional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, training manufacturing technicians, cost and quality improvement activities, production/material planning, and working closely with the materials and manufacturing groups to assist in sourcing activities. The ability to assist in the testing and trouble-shooting of RF microcircuits in production is highly desirable.

Position Requirements

- BA/BS degree, or higher, in electrical/electronic engineering required - 2+ years experience with RF microwave and millimeter wave testing, in a commercial or military product, is a plus - Ability to read, check, and cross-verify electronic circuit diagram with actual product - Ability to generate and follow through on work documents and ECOs - Computer skills: o Ability to generate reports, graphs, charts, and data to communicate results, conclusions, and recommendations o Using AutoCAD to review microcircuit and thin film layout drawings o MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - Good writing and communication skills - Prior knowledge of MRP system is preferred, but not required Demonstrated ability to: - Drive tasks to successful completion, both as an individual contributor and by collaborating with others across the organization at all levels - Diagnose technical issues, continually develop new, innovative, and practical solutions; enjoy problem solving - Quickly learn applicable technology, systems, and products - Take ownership of goals, project schedules
