Job Description

Join the AWR group of National Instruments and work on products that are revolutionizing how wireless and broadband circuits are designed and built. Our award-winning design environment has been built from the ground up using the latest in object-oriented programming and component software techniques. We are looking for talented, highly-motivated individuals who desire a challenging position and can contribute to the continued success of our design tools. Currently we have an open position for a Communication Systems Engineer with strong software development skills who will help expand the capabilities of our simulation tools. If you are a motivated engineer looking for a unique challenge and a rewarding experience, come work with us! The job will entail the implementation of new capabilities for simulation of communication systems, including coding and modulation schemes, propagation and measurements; development and support of libraries for communication and broadcast standards; creation of RF system and subsystem reference designs for wireless and satellite communication systems, Radar, etc.; creation and maintenance of documentation, training material, application notes and examples; technical support to our customers.

Position Requirements

Experience in communication systems and digital signal processing fields. Understanding of RF/analog systems and circuit design is desirable. Demonstrated ability with C++ is required, along with a comprehensive understanding of STL. Knowledge of LabVIEW programming is also desirable. Experience with system simulators is a plus. Strong analytical and communication skills (verbal and written, including group presentations). Experience working independently and in a team environment. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Education: PhD or MS + work experience in EE, CS or related discipline.
